Developments in the field of communication and technology shape and direct human life. Public relations and promotion, which is based on communication skills and knowledge, has become an increasingly important field in recent years with its qualities of applying appropriate communication strategies and ensuring effective communication with target audiences. In parallel with this, the need for trained manpower in the field is increasing day by day. The Public Relations and Promotion program, which started accepting students within our faculty in the 2017 - 2018 academic year, aims to contribute to the existing knowledge in the field through research and to meet the need for qualified workforce in the field. Students in the Department of Public Relations and Promotion; It is aimed to present a training program to analyze and interpret the "communication" age we are in and the changes experienced and to develop strategies for the situation. Within this framework, theoretical and practical courses on basic sciences as well as communication and public relations will be offered to students within 8 semesters. Those who successfully complete the program will become public and private public relations professionals who can think analytically and solution-oriented, are researchers, have a high capacity to raise awareness on relevant issues, are creative, have an understanding of social responsibility, are sensitive to ethical values, are beneficial to the field and society, can follow current trends and adapt them to their work areas. They can work in various units of organizations such as public relations, promotion, strategic communication, corporate communication, human resources, social media and marketing communication.
